This past week when I was questing around Silithus I finally dinged to 60! I have been playing World of Warcraft for almost 8 months! So it’s about time! Yeah it took me a LONG time to get to 60, well I am very busy and at times didn’t play the game for weeks. Enough about that so what does being level 60 get you? Well as you can see I got 52 hit points, 51 mana, 1 talent point, and a few more stats. Seriously though there are a lot of things that open when you hit 60.

One of the biggest things I hated about not being 60 is waiting for battlegrounds. I am on a non-PVP server so a lot of people do not like to PVP. Not being 60 it was very hard to even get into a battlegrounds, sometimes I had to wait 5+ hours just to get into a battlegrounds that would only last 10 minutes! Being 60 there are more battlegrounds going on at once so you have a better chance of getting in. Usually there is a wait time of around 20 minutes, which sure is better than 5 hours!

Being under 60 there were some raids you could do like UBRS, but the big ones with the best loot you cannot do until you are 60. These are big raids too, not the usual 10 man ones that you are used to. Molten Core is probably one of the more popular instances, it is very hard to completely finish without 40 people! Getting the better gear allows you to easier get through instances and deal out more damage in battlegrounds. Also of course someone is going to want to take a 60 on a quest or instance with them rather than a mid 50.

There are a lot of quests that open up at 60, in a lot of areas too. Some of them are chain quests which end up giving you a good gear, a cool trinket, and a good amount of gold. Other quests are just for rep, but that is always good too. Being 60 is considered "End-Gameplay". It is much different than trying to get to 60. When you are trying to get to 60 you are doing quests and instances for experience points to get to the next level. When you hit 60 you don’t get experience points so you try to get good gear and cool trinkets. There are a lot of things to still do that are a lot of fun when you hit 60 so don’t be worried!
