Waiting In Line For the PS3
November 17th, 2006 by Bob Buskirk

Well it’s that time again, a new console has arrived and everyone wants to get their hands on it. This time it is Sony with the Playstation 3. Sony’s PS3 features a Blu-ray player, Bluetooth wireless controllers, built in WiFi, and a 40 or 60 GB hard drive. With all of the excitement and stores shipments getting cut, and cut again only a handful of people would be getting the system on launch day. For this reason the die-hard Sony fans and people looking to make money selling the system on e-bay headed to their local stores to camp out and be the first in line to get the system.

We set out on Wednesday night to see if we would find people waiting at the stores that would be getting the PS3 on launch day, and we found people at Circuit City, Best Buy, and Target. We found the most people at Best Buy, probably because it was getting the largest shipment of PS3’s. It was cold and raining, but everyone in line was prepared. We saw tarps, umbrella’s, and even tents. Check out this video of what we saw and what the first people to be getting a PS3 think about it before they buy it.
It seemed like most of the people waiting were going to sell the PS3. Only 2 people said that they would be keeping it. If you think if it it’s easy money, but of course you wouldn’t get the bragging rights saying you have a PS3. And you wouldn’t get to play the new PS3 games. If I was waiting I would be selling it. I’m just fine with my 360 and Gears of War. I would rather make $800-$2000 and wait a few months till more stores get the PS3 in.
