Midway is going to be releasing Mortal Kombat on the DS in November, and Gamespot had the chance of getting their hands on it early. They say that the game runs surprisingly smooth that they think it was may be rigged almost. When you start the game you can choose to jump into the standard Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 arcade game, which will allow you to choose characters, and difficulty. Gamespot says all the characters are the same as the original, and that there’s no slowdown whatsoever. You can also choose from multiplayer mode, which will allow you to do versus against players. And finally, you can unlock a bit of extra content, like getting a few extra characters. Ultimate Mortal Kombat will be released in the U.S. on November 12th.
