Now honestly this is stupid. A Chinese school student is arrested, his house searched, and then sent to an alternative education center. All because he created a Counter-Strike map based off his high school. I’m so glad I am not growing up these days. Back when I was in high school we had a whole UT server that ran maps based off schools in our region. I actually thought it was pretty fun, but did playing these maps ever make me want to go crazy and shoot people, no! After the police searched his house they did find swords, I’m sure he is not going to go on a rampage with those! And when I was that age I had swords too, not for killing people, but because they were a cool thing to display in your room! Just as the article says, “Two sources close to the case said it’s questionable whether the swords were usable as weapons, indicating they may have been decorative.”

I know people are very wary after the Virginia Tech incident, but man this is taking it way to far. Now the student is unable to graduate with his friends and is being sent to an alternative education center, I bet that is going to look just great on his college application! This whole bit just pisses me off, what ever happened to having a guidance counselor talk to the student!
