Saints Row (360) Review

Graphics and Audio
The graphics in Saint’s Row are definitely a step up from GTA. The game is really beautiful. The explosions and fire in the game is simply amazing. I was surprised at all of the different building styles. And if you look inside the different buildings you will notice there are a ton of different interior styles. Player animation is very clear and life like. All of the clothes, accessories, and hair styles look very real; not pixilated or painted on. There was a little bit of graphic lag when you had multiple cars blowing up and there was fire everywhere. Saints Row also has many cut-scenes. They look really amazing and almost life like.
The audio in Saints Row in much improved from GTA. I always hated when you would walk around and would hear the 5 same audio clips coming from people on the street. There is a wide variety of sayings in Saints Row. One thing that I did not like as much about Saints Row is the over use of swearing, sometimes it seems like they just swear to swear. Just like GTA when you get into the car there are radio stations to choose from. The stations range from Rap and Hip-Hop to Classical. Nothing beats running people over listing to Mozart! Another option when listening to music is the "personal MP3 player". This gives you the ability to listen to your own custom soundtrack. Character voices in the game are very on key. A character’s voice will let you know what type of person they are.
Online Gameplay
The online gameplay modes vary. Some are a lot of fun, are others are just downright boring. It’s all really to what you like. During online play I did suffer some small graphical lag, but that is expected with any online game. There are clans. If you are in a clan you and your clan-mates can all dress the same and have a private lobby. Now this is just me, but I would have liked to have seen a mode more like an MMORPG when you can run around aimlessly online and kill people, but I can only wish.
