Pittco 5

The last time we were at a Pittco event was their "lite" event back in March. This event was much smaller than Pittco’s normal parties so I was excited to see what they have in store for Pittco 5. This time Pittco has a new location, a new power setup and a ton of prizes! Oh yeah there is gaming too so let’s check this event out!

Power Setup

If you have ever run a large-scale LAN party then you usually run into 2 problems network traffic and power issues. Because of the power issues in the past Pittco spent the money to make power panels for the LAN party. This shows you that pittco is serious about what they are doing. Here are some pictures of the panels.

Location & Sponsors

The new location of Pittco is Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department’s Memorial Hall. The hall is more than big enough to hold the 136 attendees plus the staff. The building had some nice air conditioning which is great when you have all those computers going. The bathrooms were also useable, which is good when you have all those people in one place.

At Pittco lite there were no prizes at all, well at Pittco 5 there were a TON! Pittco got some really good sponsors this time. The companies that sponsored the event were OCZ, Geeks.com, Altec Lansing, Vizo Technology and Aerocool. Some of the prizes you could win were 1GB of OCZ ram, an Altec Lansing Headset, A GeForce 6500 video card and a brand new case. Check out all of these prizes!
