Logitech Action Controller for PlayStation 2 Review

Testing
The one thing that really makes me hesitant about purchasing 3rd party controllers for game systems is the feel. Once you get used to using the standard controller, it’s hard to use something else. But since the Logitech controller shares a very similar shape to the Dualshock, it remains quite comfortable. Even though the controller is a bit smaller that the Dualshock; my hands never cramped up or became uncomfortable in anyway. So the Logitech Action controller passed the all important comfort test, so what about the performance?
When I first started to use the Logitech Action controller, I thought that the D-pad would not perform as well as the Dualshock due to how it is designed. But after putting in some time with it, I was pleasantly surprised that it held up fairly well. It was responsive and it did not affect gameplay in any way. Also, all of the buttons worked as they should, and I did not encounter any problems while using them. The analog sticks on the Logitech controller worked really well, and they seem to have a stiffer feel to them than that of the Dualshock.
While testing the Logitech Action controller, it preformed very well and remained comfortable even after a few hours of use. This would definitely work out well as an extra controller if your friends or family want to get in on the action.
Conclusion
The Logitech Action controller definitely performed well and is a solid product. It keeps the same look as the Dualshock for the most part, so it will be immediately familiar when you pick it up. The controller is very comfortable, but it may be too small for people with larger hands. Other than that, I would recommend this controller to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative. Overall, ThinkGaming gives the Logitech Action controller an 8 out of 10 score.
Pros:
- Cheaper than the official Sony controller
- Comfortable
- Performs exceptionally well
Cons:
- It may be too small for some people
