Product Overview
The Logitech Action controller is packaged in a small plastic shell that covers most of the product. The sides of the controller are left exposed to highlight the rubber grips. The back of the packaging clearly details the features of the controller.
After removing the controller from the packaging, the first thing I noticed was how small and light weight it was. It is a bit smaller than the standard Dualshock 2 controller, and the Logitech controller has a very different feel when holding it in your hands. That is mainly due to the rubber grips on the side of the controller. Other than that, the appearance and layout of the Logitech Action controller is very similar to the Dualshock.
The right side of the controller features the standard cross shape button layout, and the famous Sony button symbols. Located in the center of the controller are the start, select, and turbo buttons. The D-pad on the left side of the controller is very different from the one found on the Dualshock. It is one big circular piece that is raised up from the face of the controller.
The top of the Logitech Action controller has the standard 4 shoulder buttons. The R2 and L2 shoulder buttons on the Logitech controller are smaller than those on the Dualshock. The back of the controller has a different feel than the front too. Logitech calls this their soft touch surface.
