It’s a Wii World!

 

January figures for the three major consoles have finally been released. Figures were actually totalled over 5 consecutive weeks, instead of 4, something the NPD group has to do every few years to play catch up. The Wii sales (unsurprisingly) takes North America with nearly a cool half a million units. A slight decline from the 600 000 pushed in December. Although I would chalk that up to production, not lack of consumers. Xbox 360 showed sales of 294 000, while PS3 had 244 000 units moved. (Probably another 100 000 sitting on store shelves collecting dust). For more indepth sales figures, take a look at the report below.
