Goodbye Gamecube

I can’t quite say it is shocking. There have been nearly no releases for the Gamecube in the past year, save for Zelda which was overshadowed by the Wii version. I think there might be a few straggling titles headed for it, with a big ole Wii compatable stamp on them (like we needed to know that), but whatever makes it sell, makes it sell! Unfortunately though, as one final nail in the Gamecube coffin, production of the hardware is now officially over. In an interview with Gamedaily, Nintendo of America’s Perrin Kaplan has stated that Gamecubes are no longer in production, although they expect that enough of the purple lunchboxes are in stock to meet consumer demands. (Basically zero).
