The highly anticipated Miyamoto keynote has come and gone, confirming earlier reports that Nintendo had to remain quite tight-lipped during their crucial stock trade with the Japanese government. That’s not to say a few interesting tid-bits slipped their way into the discussion. Miyamoto discussed an upcoming channel which allows users to globally compare Mii’s and vote for favourites. Hopefully it provides a means to download Mii’s as well. This would mark at least a step in the right direction, as the more functionality that promotes globalized content and less friend codes, the better.

A recap of the keynote can be found [ Via Go Nintendo ] Nintendo also gave us some positive news re-iterating that Mario Galaxy is set for release this year and has a video to get us hyped!
