Capcom picks new VP of Product Development
February 23rd, 2007 by Brian

Today Capcom has announced that Scot Bayless will be joining their company as VP of Product Development. He joins the company after working as the VP of Midway since 2004. Bayless will be overlooking the Western end of the market as Capcom looks to expand to America and beyond.
With the addition of Scot (new vice president of product development) to the Capcom team, we now have all the pieces in place to begin the next iteration of Capcom’s larger plans for international growth outside of Japan. Scot will be running new development projects for Capcom, focusing on games that appeal to the North American and European markets." - Mark Beaumont, Capcom executive VP
Capcom has recently undergone corperate re-working as award winning studio Clover (makers of Viewtiful Joe and Okami) were absorbed after less than stellar sales of both cult classic games. It’ll be interesting to see what exactly becomes of this new direction Capcom is trying to take.
