Introduction

When Xbox 360 was released last November it was one of the holiday’s biggest sellers. It was the first Next-gen gaming console to be released before Sony’s Playstation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii. The Xbox 360 gave gamers a good idea of what to expect from Next-gen games, and almost anyone you talk to is still excited about the console. It is still currently the most powerful home console available, providing an unprecedented level of graphics and immersion. Today we will be going through some of the essentials and extra’s you may want to pickup when purchasing an Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 Premium System

When you are deciding which system to get the premium system is the way to go. The core system only comes with the 360 system (without hard drive), standard audio video cables, and a wired controller. The premium system comes with the Xbox 360 console with 20 gigabyte hard drive, high definition audio video cables, Ethernet cable, wireless controller, and a wired headset. The difference between the 2 systems is $100 as the core system is $299 and the premium system is $399. If you do not have a high definition TV then you may be thinking that you should just get the core system, but you still do not get a hard drive, which means you cannot save your games or take advantage of the Xbox 360 marketplace.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

The Xbox 360 is the first console to include is first-party wireless controller. Having a wireless controller eliminates all of those wires we are used to having with previous consoles. Now you can relax and are not limited by wires. Unlike other third-party wireless controllers that we have seen the official Xbox 360 wireless controller has a response time close to zero which means no control lag. Unless you want to play all of your games by yourself you want to pickup another controller. Wireless is the way to go unless you like those wires.
