Attack on Pearl Harbor (PC) Review

Final Thoughts
Attack on Pearl Harbor is a quality game for a gamer looking for a quick fix that doesn’t require the latest hardware to enjoy the game. I’d love to see how this runs on a newer integrated graphics chipset to see if it’s something that mobile users could buy and enjoy on a flight or between classes/meetings.
It’s also fun for quick skirmishes with its dogfight mode. I thoroughly enjoyed being pumped full of holes by 20 enemy craft simultaneously.
However, the multiplayer leaves something to be desired. Obviously, I couldn’t run it on another of my computers because the game requires a CD (and it’s also probably against the EULA). There were no multiplayer servers in the server browser.
Really, the game feels a lot like Rogue Squadron for the Nintendo 64. The graphics are obviously sharper, but the controls and the gameplay are similar. ThinkGaming gives Attack on Pearl Harbor by Legenda/CDV a 7 out of 10 score.
Pros
- Fun for quick action
- Comic feel
- Fairly easy controls for non-flight simulator junkies
Cons
- No multiplayer servers
- Expensive-wait until it drops to $20 if you are really interested
- No demo available
- Lack of story, really, as the focus is on combat
