Attack on Pearl Harbor is an interesting, easy flight simulator with elementary controls and a focus on WWII air combat. Neither its graphics nor its storyline will win awards, but its quick gameplay and decent soundtrack will have players dodging bullets and bombing carriers on any hardware. Read on for the review.

Introduction
Attack on Pearl Harbor is an interesting, easy flight simulator with elementary controls and a focus on WWII air combat. Neither its graphics nor its storyline will win awards, but its quick gameplay and decent soundtrack will have players dodging bullets and bombing carriers on any hardware. Read on for the review.

System Requirements
Legendo/CDV recommends a P4 2.2 or Athlon 2200+, 1 GB RAM, GF4 or Radeon 8500, and 750 MB storage. There’s nothing on the box about needing a joystick, despite this game clearly being a flight simulator.

Packaging
There is a lot of shrink-wrap and tape to cut off of the box. The disc case is unnecessarily large-it’s a multi-DVD case, when there’s one CD and very short manual accompanying it. I think that the game could have been packaged in a single DVD box, as is the standard for most games nowadays.

The box artwork doesn’t really have a lot of in-game pictures. It’s hard to tell what kind of graphics it’s going to be: cartoony or cel shaded like XIII? Or realistic like the Microsoft Flight Simulator series?

Installation
Attack on Pearl Harbor honestly took less than a minute to install on my rig (4400+, 3 GB RAM, 7200 rpm HDDs, 16x DVD). The game is on a single CD and occupies about 775 MB when installed. Most of the installation was sound-this game must sound fantastic and diverse. I’ll be the judge of that later in the review.

I like it when I see games using Ogg Vorbis for audio like Attack on Pearl Harbor does. Kudos to developers 3DVision and 3D People on their support of open source software.

While installing, I checked out the manual. It’s very short and gives a simple overview of the menus within the game. Still no mention of a needed joystick. I was getting curious just how intense of a flight simulator Attack on Pearl Harbor is.

Fortunately, the game does not need a CD-key to install. Conversely, and much more negatively, it does require the CD to play. Bad form, Legendo/CDV. Trust your users, folks.

Play
While Attack on Pearl Harbor won’t be winning any awards or selling like Halo, it is certainly a fun, easy to control sim worth a Jackson.

While studying for certifications like 646-171 and 220-602, if layout of the site is user-friendly, the rest of the steps become much easier for the candidates. In this regard, website templates must be chosen with great caution. If the layout is not comprehendible, of what use is a feature like skype or the use of something as worthwhile as isdn? Therefore for any exam, be it 642-453 or any other certification, the sites should be designed while keeping the students mental presence in mind.
