Wii VC Update

Nitendo finally go around to providing the press release for today’s batch of VC games. This week is the Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time, Chew Man Fu and Bio-hazard Battle. I would probably place good money on the VC receiving the most activity thus far. Probably more to do with the second two titles than the first…

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64, 1000 Wii Points): In this 3D adventure by which all others are measured, explore the vast realm of Hyrule with Link as the hero travels between his childhood and adulthood to stop the evil Gerudo thief Ganondorf from plunging the land into darkness.

Chew Man Fu (TurboGrafx-16, 600 Wii Points): In Chew Man Fu, players must roll four magic spheres onto tiles that match the each sphere’s respective color, while avoiding enemies, in order to complete each level. Each sphere has unique properties to discover, which add another element of puzzle solving to the game; for example, one ball is better at breaking walls than the others. It is up to the player to free the Egg Roll Kingdom from the curse of the evil wizard, Chew Man Fu!

Bio-Hazard Battle (SEGA Genesis, 800 Wii Points): An army of biogenetic mutants has gone haywire, terrorizing the world and putting the future of the planet Avaron in jeopardy. It’s up to you to defeat the mutant menaces and restore order before it’s too late! Through eight levels of intense action, you’ll be up against some of the nastiest, most vile creatures you’ve ever seen from mega amoebas and nuclear crabs to electroworms and gut-grabbing insects. You’ll have four different Bioship fightercrafts to choose from, each with unique handling capabilities and weapon systems. Hop into your fightercraft and save Avaron from certain doom!

To download these titles, players will need to purchase Wii Points either through the Wii Shop Channel using a credit card, or by redeeming a Wii Points card available at select retailers.
